根据 Net Application 的调查，Windows Vista 的使用用户本年每月都会增加，而其竞争对手 Mac OS X 的用户却几乎没有增长。
根据对网络浏览者的操作系统的调查显示，五月份 Vista 的使用占到了所有使用系统的4.52%，而一月份其才占到0.18%。Vista 自1月30号发布以来，它的使用率逐月增加，其中，二月份达到了0.93%，三月份是2.04%，四月份为3.02%。而 Apple 的 Mac OS X，在一月份占到了6.22%，三月份达到了高峰6.46%，但是却在5月份降到了6%。
如果照此增长速度，那么 Vista 有望在8月份超过 Mac OS X。
