据可靠消息称, 微软明年上半年推出最新版的 Windows Mobile (代号Crossbow) 操作系统. 虽然叫做 WindowsMobile 6.0 的可能性最大, 但因为在是没有什么新功能, 也不排除可能会叫 WindowsMobile 5.0 SE 之类的. Crossbow 主要是为了让 Windows Mobile 和 Office 2007、Exchange 2007 合作愉快而推出的小改版, 不是大家期待已久的 Photon, 那还要再等个几年. 新特色包括重新加强过的 Outlook Mobile、整合 Windows Live、Live Search Mobile、Live Messenger Mobile、整合了 VoIP 的电话功能、以及一个配合 Vista 长像的新外观设计.
