微软新一代嵌入式操作系统 Windows CE 6.0 已经定于11月1日正式发布，微软和业界厂商、开发人员目前正在做着最后的紧张准备。
在上周英国伯明翰的嵌入式系统展会上，Sophia Systems 展示了他们基于 XScale 的参考设计，同时提供了 Windows CE 6.0 板级支持包。
在台湾，由 Techware Information Technology 主办的嵌入式大会也正在召开，Zebra Chen 介绍了微软的各种嵌入式系统。
Windows 嵌入式产品经理 Mike Hall 在他的 BLOG 上对 Windows CE 6.0 的8个方面进行了技术性介绍，展示了新系统的总体面貌和使用方法。
此外，微软还面向 OEM 厂商开展了一系列技术研讨会，并建立了一个专门的网站。
Windows CE 6.0 发布会将于太平洋时间11月1日上午一点(北京时间1日下午五点)举行，并通过 http://www.ce6launch.com/ 现场直播。
